After securing my Malaysia country-level domain name KT.MY, I felt that it would also be fun to create my very own URL shortener service since its relatively easy to do especially with Drupal.

Today I've opened the doors to RD.MY. I think I'm going to call this ReDirect Me (My). Honestly, nothing came to my mind when purchasing this domain name, only thing its short! Well after some domain shopping spree; among others GRR.MY too which I have plans to create a fun social web portal with that :) You can already guess what is it going to be about by the name of it. GRRrrrrr!!!

Anyway, RD.MY comes with basic features of shortening URLs. You may register a free account so that you can track clicks to your long URL.

This is still very early in development stage and I have a list of features to-do in the next couple of weeks.

• Integrate with SURBL service to prevent creation of short URLs that contain malicious links.
• API web service for other applications to use.
• Reporting features with charts.
• Geolocation information of clicks with Maxmind and fallback to (HTML 5 Geolocation API).
• Visitor tracking with WURFL.
